One of the Hardest Days of My Life

 Today is one of the hardest days I have experienced in a long time. Yesterday, I was asked to leave my job. Overnight, I became unemployed, and I still don't know how to process it. I feel lost, uncertain, and deeply discouraged. The reason given for my dismissal was that I slept in the break room for about 30 minutes. The night before, my child had a high fever. I stayed awake most of the night taking care of them and got very little sleep. The next day at work, exhausted from the lack of rest, I closed my eyes for a short time, hoping to regain enough energy to continue working. Instead, I lost my job.
